I made some changes to my order last night. Went more expensive, and today there wasn't any pre-production stage or building stage. Got a in testing stage straight away and now it's already awaiting for dispatch.

I'm assuming PCSpecialist knows I change my mind a lot and might downgrade to a lower spec again so they're not giving me the chance to change my mind. Hopefully it gets dispatched today. Haha.

Nice. Mine's in quality control now. Yesterday It was "In building". 7am this morning it was "In testing" and at 10am it was in QQ. I'm guessing the website doesn't update instantly, otherwise they only tested my PC for 2 hours. =P

If my email notification timing are correct... that's 15 minutes they spent testing my laptop, and quality control step was skipped entirely.

The Emails are generated automatically so I'm willing to bet that the timing of the system is a bit awry. Like if it sends out the emails for Testing and Quality control on the same day, 9/aug for example, then it'll say testing completed on 9/aug and qq completed on 9/aug, when really that's just when the emails were sent, not necessarily when the testing was done. Although for laptops the website does say quality control can take 2 to 24 hours so it can be done real quick.

Either way, PCS have nothing to gain from rushing a pc/lappy through the processes and getting it to you untested. They're obligated to take it back and fix it which costs more money and time, so they're going to do everything properly before sending it out to minimize the chances of a return.

Reason I'm worried is I never received any notification it's in the quality control stage. I only received notification it went to awaiting dispatch after the in testing notification.

Order number's 407215 if anyone is able to confirm my lappy isn't being rushed.

I haven't expected it built and tested so thoroughly in the span of several hours.

It's exactly the same for me. When I went to bed at 2am it was still in building. 5 hours later at 7am it was in testing, and then at 10am in quality control. That means they did the testing, which should take at least 24 hours, in less than 8 hours. It's obviously just the way the automated email works because like I said, they have nothing at all to gain by rushing it to you, it'll just come back to them and cost them more time and money.

It says building 1-4 days
Testing 1-2 days
QQ - 1-2 days

I take that to mean at least 24 hours for testing, and then at least another 24 for QQ. Unless I'm wrong?

Yodel is the company that took over DHL
It should be on a next day delivery unless you're somewhere where you had to pay extra for delivery (like Ireland or the Highlands)

Don't even start me on Yodel.... they collected my PC from PCS on Friday morning and I still haven't received it!

Harzo.. Life just doesn't like you

Mine was picked up from PCS at 8:20 ish on the 7th, and got to me on the 8th at 2:54pm. They came that late as i was on the way back to the depot, being only 30 mins from it

They've been reliable in my opinion so far

Got a wireless card being sent to me, that got collected today, and should be with me tomorrow

I had a next day deliv from UPS last month which took a week. It was dispatched on a monday before the 4pm deadline. I got my money back
