Hey guys, me again. :D It's looking like I wont make the Finance Conditions for the Finance of PC Specialists since I live in the Republic of Ireland so ive been looking around and found Alienware. I have never heard of these but they have a branch in Ireland and I can get finance with them.

Im curious if anyone has ever dealt with them before? Or should I just stay away from em.

I need the Rig to be able to all FPS games, I play Skyrim, Diablo III and World of Warcraft, Battlefield 3, Call of Dutyand new games that will be coming out on MAX SETTINGS so I wont have to upgrade for awhile. My budget is 3000 Euro bUt I need a monitor, mouse, keyboard etc.

As always guys thanks for taking ye're time out to help, much appreciated.

I know right but theres nothing I can do, there the only people who will do finance for me because of the republic of Ireland thing.

Alienware computers are good, but very overpriced for what you get. There must be better ways of getting finance than paying through the nose for a computer.

So yeah as everyone said Alienware is way overpriced for what you get, I'd recommend finding a PC builder that accepts finance in Ireland or alternatively build it yourself :sorcerer:

i had an alienware aroura , good solid build , but a bit overpriced , compaired to a custom build pc of the same specs

i suppose you will possibly get the best "off the shelf" pc with alienware - but it would be cheaper & a lot better pc if you could find some way to do a custom build.

( well it was for me , my build came to about £400 chaper than the alienware aroura & is so much better to boot)

problem with alienware (& most off the shelf PCs to be fair) is that they make them in such a way that its hard - if not impossible in some cases to put standard parts in them - biggest issue i had was i couldnt change the psu as there was no way to fit a standard (non dell/alienware) PSU as they had enclosed it completely , the fans were on the end of it instead of on the top or bottom , so i was going to drill air holes in the enclosure so a standard pack could be installed , but i then found that they had fitted "lugs" in this cage that slid in to recesses on the psu - in the end i sold it & vowed to never get another off the shelf pc - came to pc specialist & put together my build & now if i need to change out/ upgrade anything its all standardized so i dont need to keep buying new pcs all the time , just change whatever part i like. :)

Yeah I really dont know what to do, I cant find any financing options that are there for me in Ireland. Id love to order from PC Specialists becuase I know it will be better all round than anything id buy "off the shelf".

Whats this 0% Credit Card thing? Kinda bringing this thread off topic.

Some retailers/banks offer 0% interest on purchases when you apply for a credit card. As an alternative to finance I used the 0% on my credit card to purchase some monitors and as long as you make the minimum payment every month you do not need to pay any interest if you clear the outstanding balance before a certain amount of time.

Many banks / credit card companies offer a 0% interest rate on new purchases, or balance transfers (you buy it on credit card A then transfer to credit card B with the 0% interest rate).

You then just pay off the minimum payment each month, plus whatever else you want, and make sure you clear the balance by the end of the free period (12 months, often). If you do it as a balance transfer there's often a fee involved to obtain the 0% interest, say 3%.
