After a time when clicking on screen, my Vortex III is prone to lose all sound.

I am disabled and have recently bought a Vortex III from PC Specialist. I use a software called 'SmartNav.' This allows me to use the mouse without needing to use my hands. In the software there is a part called the 'Dwell Clicker.' This allows me to either left click, right click or double-click an item. Sometimes, when I have the Dwell Clicker showing for use, after I have used it for an amount of time, when clicking on it, the sound completely disappears from my computer. The only way I have found to get the sound back is to reboot, which is most annoying. This amounts to an able-bodied person clicking on the screen and by doing this, after a while, the sound disappears. Is this a fault?

On my old laptop computer, this never happens. Can you Tell me if this is a problem with the computer? Does anybody have any ideas how to fix this problem?
