Pc has just arrived and I am fairly stumped... Should the cooling system be already set up inside the computer?

Again I know nothing about PCs... Also there seems to be multiple cables missing from the power supply listing I have. I am unsure if this is just me not understanding what is already included within the PC however so I don't want to chase up for missing parts yet.

Is there a forum page saying what to do when the PC first arrives?

Post your specs again (as a spoiler so it doesn’t become a large thread) and also attach some pictures of the inside of your rig and we’ll have a look

I've decided to go rogue. Didn't have a DMI or HDMI cable as I've always used the old fashioned cable, however luckily I found a HDMI in the closet... I've decided to just plug in and turn on.... Sadly nothing happened - I'm going to get some food.... hopefully when I eat things will make sense

That doesn't sound good at all...is the switch on the back of the PC definitely turned on? Send a pic of the inside when you're ready!

It's now on! Think all of the parts are extra parts so I can ignore them. The welcome book said first to check you have everything you need so I was being super paranoid
Yes all the extras you get in the welcome box are the spares that came with the various components that are not needed for the build as components often come with extra parts, eg modular power supplies will often come with plenty of power cables but you're unlikely to use all of them so they come in the welcome box so you're not missing out on anything.

We love you Ukraine
cheers, thank god - I was going through the box part by part and lots were missing (because obviously they are already within the computer....). I should have just plugged it in straight away and not worried, well it doesnt matter now - the PC is running and is gloriously quick. I am a tad concerned the GPU may end up being the bottle neck, but hopefully not - worst case scenario is I upgrade it
What are you using the GPU for?

Looking back at their previous advice threads (which makes tough reading as they have deleted all their posts in thos topics)
@Thew2002 if you go and delete all your previous posts, its means we have to ask all the exact same questions again if you query anything, so it's normally better to leave them where they are so people can go see what your intended uses were and what the spec actually ended up being - its also makes said thread really difficult to read.
