Advice on new system please

Hi all

After months and months of differing I have almost decided on my new system.

As a bit of an auld duffer I must have an internal cd/rw drive (I hate the idea of an external one!!!!!!) so I was limited with cases.

Now I am NOT a gamer so is the cpu and gpu overkill or just future proofing?

Also any thoughts on the 256GB SAMSUNG PM961 M.2

Or will this pre-built system (TheVelocity Zen Lite Mk2) be sufficient if games are not required. Main use will be Photoshop/Word/Excel and5-10 web pages open....thank you for any advice

What you're using it for isn't particularly multithreaded. An Intel i5 would offer somewhat better performance in photoshop.

Even a GTX 1050 ti, some £100 cheaper, would be more than enough for PS. A faster SSD like the PM961 would be worth the extra ~£40 over a smaller and much slower UV400.

I'd suggest getting a better case than the K350, e.g. the game max falcon

One query I have though is that the specs on the game max falcon says it has no 5.25 drive bays which I require for a cd drive although a cd drive is indeed included in your specs

It's an omission in the specs. You can see it has 2 x 5.25" bays in the photos, plus as you say PCS let you order an internal DVD drive with it.
