Im configuring a laptop ATM and was wondering whether it is worth having 16gb of ram rather than 8gb. Will it effect the life of the laptop and the performance? It is about £60 extra for 16gb. Thanks for any answers.

What are you using it for?
If its gaming then 8gb is more than enough at the moment most games maxing out at 4 or 6.
If its photo editing and video editing etc you might need 16gb or more.
Good news is that RAM is a very easy upgrade so if you went 8gb and needed more you just have to slip the back of and plug in the new RAM, easy as that.
