5090 Buy or Wait?

Good Afternoon :)
So basically I've been putting money away for the last year and a half and i'm finally at a point where I can afford a big old upgrade on my current 1080ti system.
I'm wanting to get a 5090/9800x3d build but all i'm seeing is a ton of negativity online for the 5090 (Overheating, melting wires, Missing ROP units....o_Oo_Oo_O) . It's kind of frustrating as I want the latest and greatest lol. Basically I would like opinions on whether to bite the bullet and just buy now, or give it a few months for things to iron out? (Well, it would be a pre-order anyway so who knows when i'd get it )
Any info/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time. (y)

Personally, I wouldn't buy ANY 50-series GPU at the moment, as there's too much consumer-unfriendly shenanigans going on...i.e. poor component quality, missing components, low power stages, poor quality control, general corner-cutting and price-gouging.

However, I'm in the position of not needing to upgrade at the moment as 've got a good 40-series GPU...and you can't even get a high level one of those.

I would absolutely not buy a 5090, they're stupidly overpriced, and so far it looks as if a recall may be mandated due to fire risk with the current power delivery design.

But is the 5090 even suitable is more the question? It's impossible really to advise on individual components as the whole system has to match from input to output (including the monitor).

But yeah, I wouldn't be buying any of the current 5000 series until prices HEAVILY reduce, just not at all worth it. The drivers still don't properly work let alone anything else.
