2nd Hard Drive Option Now Available on all Laptops!

We are pleased to announce that we can now offer a 2nd hard disk drive option on our complete range of laptops!

With the exception of the 17.3" Vortex II, (which has always supported two hard drives by default) you can now select a 2nd hard drive which will fit into the optical drive bay and which will be totally disguised by the design of the bay.

I take it that this means there's no ODD?

A very interesting design but given media comes on DVDs and such these days, will you supply an external ODD?

We're looking into listing an external ODD drive on our configurator. However, we're finding that there is less and less dependancy on ODD now, as more and more people are using flash, or downloading data from the internet.

If someone specced an HDD instead of an ODD, would they then receive their software/drivers etc on a flash drive?

No - some drivers are provided on a CD/DVD. You will therefore need to either connect an external ODD drive or download the drivers.
