Hi people i would be very grateful if you could check this spec for me and recommend any changes that are needed or to save money as i am already £267 over budget but really want the new 780.

1st do i need an i7 processor or would i5 be enough for high end gaming. I want to future proof as much as possible

2nd do i need more than 8gb of RAM

3rd pc specialist recommend a 650w psu but i chose a 750w because when the 780 is struggling to play the latest games on the highest settings i will add another for sli so will 750w be needed for sli.

4th Is 3gb vram enough not only for now but in a few years time. I heard some games already use more than that. I will be gaming on a single display

5th This is probably the one i am struggling with the most i have no idea what case i need is the one i chose ok or can i get one cheaper that will be just as good. Which would you recommend

6th Does the monitor look ok. I choose it because i need it to have HDMI

and last do i need an ssd, I would like one but as i said i am already way over budget.

Your help would be very much appreciated. i am new to pc gaming and would like to future proof this as much as possible as i wont have money like this to spend on a desktop again.

1. i5 will be fine for gaming
2. 8gb memory ram is plenty for gaming
3. have you check the configurator with 2 x gtx 780? you may need a bit more than 750w but I am not sure.
4. 3gb vram is more than enough for gaming in 1 screen.
5. depends on your budget, I wouldn't downgrade.
An SSD is not essential and you can always add one later on, you may want to consider the triple copper heatpipe cpu cooler.

Thanks keynes it looks like i will need a 850w psu if i plan on sli i will buy it just in case. Is the copper heatpipe cooler really needed?

Freebies do not show up on the confgurator at all, however, once you've pressed proceed and it shows what you're ordering it should show it there.

Edit: though admittedly I cant see the advert for that game going free with NVidia 660's and upwards anymore, so it's possible that offer has run out.

I would recommend getting the triple copper heatpipe. Cooling and airflow is arguably one of the most important aspects to make your components last longer and perform properly. For £19 on a rig that expensive it's not much to ask..

It doesn't show up when i proceed with my order. Looks like they have stopped the offer. Damn that was the first game i was going to play looks like i will have to buy it now:(

If you look on the PC Game Deals thread I just posted a link of somewhere selling it for £18 :) You can buy the games prior to having your pc and activate the codes once it arrives.
