Hi,

I'm about to order the 17.3" Optimus VII with the following configuration:

Intel® Core™ i7 Quad Core Processor 6700HQ (2.6GHz, 3.5GHz Turbo)

Memory (RAM)
8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X IMPACT 1600MHz SODIMM DDR3 (1 x 8GB)

Graphics Card
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960M - 2.0GB DDR5 Video RAM - DirectX® 12

mSATA/M.2 SSD Drive
256GB SAMSUNG SM951 M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 2150MB/R, 1260MB/W)

DVD/BLU-RAY Drive
Ultra Slim 8x SATA DVD±R/RW/Dual Layer (+ 24x CD-RW)

Thermal Paste
ARCTIC MX-4 EXTREME THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY COMPOUND (€13)

Bluetooth & Wireless

What do you guys think? Is it a good (balanced) configuration or is there a bottleneck in it?
Also, are there any updates on the battery life of the Optimus V2 (battery life when working with simple programs like Word, web browsing)

Yes, my budget is max €1200 euro (I believe it's something like £889).

Two requirements are:
-Backlit keyboard
-17 inch

I will use it for my education (ICT & Business and ICT and Software engineering). Occasionally I will play a RTS game and play some demos with the Oculus Rift DK2, nothing spectacular. I prefer gaming on my Playstation 4.
