17.3" Octane II Specification Questions

Hi

The 17.3" Octane II states in the selection section that it has 4 x USB 3.0 ports, but the detailed specification says that there are 3 x USB 3.0 and 1 x USB 3.1 and specification snapshot states that there is a USB 3.1 Gen 2. What USB ports does it have? Type C?

Is the built in sound card a Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ MB5, as the selection states Intel 2 channel high definition audio?

Is there anything that I should check before using a 330W power lead?

Will the Intel 750 series SSDs or over high performance SSDs, e.g. Samsung 950 Pro, be available in laptops?

I tried to ask these questions on the live support a few times, but, even though I was never more than 3 in the queue, I didn't get connected to a representative after more than half an hour and didn't get a response to the message I left. I also sent an email last week.

How do I get to the Clevo page from the menu, as I found it via Google? It would be nice to include the Clevo model in the Detailed Specification page of a laptop.

Thank you

Thank you Stephen, but it seems like it got removed for some unknown reason, as it was showing in My Activity earlier, but has now gone. I'll post it again below, as I assume it was removed in error, and remove this post if it does appear again.

As StephenM said it had been auto-moderated - at which point it is only visible to moderators and admins until it is approved - your posts will often get auto-moderated when you are new and this also applies to edits of previously approved posts. You should be able to see the post now :)

I'm going to assume that the Clevo definition is correct, so 3 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 3.1 (Gen 2) and a 1 x eSATA / USB 3.0 combo port and a Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ MB5.

It is good to see that some high speed SSD options are now available on the Octane II :D.

Given that Clevo 870DM is going to be available in a month, I'll wait to see what it offers, although it seems that it will be very similar to the P77DM-G.

The Clevo 870DM might be available in a 4K 17" version... can't wait. Wonder if PCS will stock this one.

Unfortunately links in posts here don't show in an obvious way, but if the specification that I linked to in my previous post is anything to go by then yes there is a 3840x2160 option, so it should be available via PCS. I do hope that the 4.8 Kg weight, which is marked at TBC, is wrong, as that is 0.9 Kg more than the P771DM-G.
