16th Working Day of Pre-Production - Vortex 1600

Hello all,

Apologies in advance for my impatience, I can see there's a lot of posts regarding concern of people who have had desktops stuck in pre-production from 9-10 days.. but my desktop is now on its 16th day of pre-production.. sadly more than twice that of the average pre-production time, and sadly it is starting to "rustle my jimmies" as I have had no updates regarding the progress of the machine, and as it is the vortex 1600 I have ordered I feel it is my pride and joy I am waiting for!

Is it worth contacting PCS regarding my order? or is 16working days in pre-production common? Also what are the chances of getting it next week?

Cheers in advance for any responses!

All the best,
Charris

It's definitely worth contacting them as 16 days is not normal, if you can phone you will get a much faster response than through email (email responses can take their time).
It depends what the hold up is as to when you'll get it, most forum members don't work for PCS so we can only speculate as to when it'll turn up for you.

Things happen, but in my opinion that is terrible customer service. There's no reason at all you couldn't or shouldn't have had a courtesy call or email on this.

Poor show on the part of PCS here, I feel.

I agree, sadly I am disappointed but I have no doubt the machine will make amends to this.

I rang PCS and got right through, unfortunately they believe it will still be in pre-production until early next week and the delivery will be around the 18th September.. they did state however that there is huge demand and they're currently employing more on the production line, so hopefully this wont impact future purchases...

This "huge demand" story is getting a bit repetitive and tiring. It's the same story we've been hearing from new customers for a good couple of months or more and it's really something they should be resolving with more speed!
