Hello due to a house fire i am in need of a new pc, I'll be using 2 27inch 1440p monitors at least 165hz+ (I've not decided which yet)
My budget is around £3000-£3500 I'd rather not spend more than £3500
The pc will be used for Gaming, Livestreaming, and video editing, So it is expected to be heavily used daily.
Other notes, I don't care for RGB I just picked the case because people told me it's a good case for airflow and a good case in general, if you have any other case suggestions that are good or better let me know, that goes with any other parts or things I should add/change thank you.

I wouldn't buy any of the 7000 series X3D CPUs at the moment as the 9000 series X3D are due in a couple of weeks.

But other than that:
  • I'd remove the thermal paste as the Corsair stuff is better and machine applied already
  • Upgrade the PSU to the next power level ATX3.1 spec available (the 1200RMx Shift) as the 750W is the entry level with no room for a more powerful GPU upgrade down the line
  • You can get an RTX4080 for about £50 more than the ASUS OC 4070TI Super - so I'm basing this on a dual-1440p gaming experience (so basically 4k GPU power required)
  • Unless you want dark fans inside the case, then you may as well configure it with 4 x iCUE LINK RX120 fan kit to match the AIO, and all be controlled by the same single cable control system (pity the case fans are the older LL non-LINK models)
Case
CORSAIR iCUE 5000T RGB MID TOWER GAMING CASE - no change: huge/expensive case, but only you know if it's what you want/need
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12 Core CPU (4.7GHz-5.6GHz/76MB CACHE/AM5) - similarly-priced to the 7800X3D that we'd normally recommend, but the 9800X3D is just around the corner, so I'd wait for that
Motherboard
ASUS® TUF GAMING X870-PLUS WIFI (AM5, DDR5, M.2 PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7) - no change
Memory (RAM)
64GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz (2 x 32GB) KIT - no change, but do you have a real-world use for this amount?
Graphics Card
16GB ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 4080 SUPER TRINITY BLACK EDITION - HDMI, 3 x DP - cheaper than the ASUS RTX4070Ti Super
1st M.2 SSD Drive
512GB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000MB/sR, 4700MB/sW) - smaller OS/apps/game launcher drive to keep your files/games safely away from your boot drive
1st M.2 SSD Drive
4TB CORSAIR CORE XT MP600 NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD (up to 5000 MB/R, 4400 MB/W) - larger secondary drive for games installs
1st Storage Drive
4TB SEAGATE IRONWOLF PRO 3.5", 7200 RPM 128MB CACHE - faster, enterprise/NAS grade HDD for longer-term storage
Power Supply
CORSAIR 1200W RMx SHIFT SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS GOLD, ULTRA QUIET - best level of the new ATX3.1/PCIe5.0 PSUs (the 750W is cutting it too fine, and doesn't have the connectivity of the higher power units, so limits upgradability)
Power Cable
1 x 1.5 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead, 1.0mm Core)
Processor Cooling
CORSAIR ICUE LINK H150i RGB HIGH PERFORMANCE CPU COOLER - no change
Thermal Paste
STANDARD THERMAL PASTE FOR SUFFICIENT COOLING - removed as the Corsair paste on the AIO is better and avoids removing/repasting
Extra Case Fans
4 x Corsair ICUE LINK RX120 RGB PWM Fan + Controller Kit - to match the AIO ecosystem and reduce cabling a lot
Sound Card
ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Network Card
ONBOARD 2.5Gbe LAN PORT
Wireless Network Card
NONE OR ONBOARD Wi-Fi (MOTHERBOARD DEPENDENT)

Hey, thanks for the reply and the advice. Sorry I’ve been a bit slow to get back to you, life’s been a bit full-on lately. Anyway, just got a few questions about the build you suggested:

1. I’m not particularly attached to the case I chose, so if you’ve got a better one in mind, let me know.

2. Why did you go with the Corsair SSD over the Samsung 990 Pro? I know the Samsung's a bit pricier, but wouldn’t it be worth paying a bit more for better performance?

3. Same with the 4080 you picked—would paying a little extra for a different 4080 make a noticeable difference in performance? Is it worth the extra cash?

4. Do I really need 64GB of RAM? Probably not right now, but I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it later on.

5. I’m good with paying close to £3,500 including tax. I assume when the 9000X3D series drops, the price will be around that. In the meantime, is there anything else I could upgrade for better performance if I’m willing to spend a bit more?

Thanks again for your help. I’ll definitely hold out for the 9000X3D series to release in November.

1. I’m not particularly attached to the case I chose, so if you’ve got a better one in mind, let me know.
If the case delivers on its cooling/RGB/space then it's down to personal preference, and the space it needs to fit into. There are plenty of options (and even an option to send your own choice from elsewhere if you don't like the options on offer here). If you want a tall tower type, then there's nothing wrong with the 5000T, it's just a premium price for nothing you can't get in a cheaper case (and it still comes with the old-style Corsair fans, rather than the newer/prettier/cleaner iCUE LINK fans).

2. Why did you go with the Corsair SSD over the Samsung 990 Pro? I know the Samsung's a bit pricier, but wouldn’t it be worth paying a bit more for better performance?
The Samsungs were a bit hit & miss in reliability when they first came out, and whilst that's likely fixed on current stocks it has left a bad taste in the mouth. Also the Corsair ones have better endurance, so they'll maintain there performance for longer.

Also you had a single, large SSD for the boot drive, which is something we wouldn't recommend, as it means you'll fill it up with games, music, videos, documents and potentially lose everything if it fails. We prefer a small boot drive (for Windows, Apps, Games Launchers) and a second one for game installs - and the game loading speeds won't get a significant performance boost by using an expensive gen5 SSD running at 12,000MB/s over a 4,000MB/s one.

Of course if you're happy to spend, then you could do what I did and put in a gen5 1TB Crucial T700 SSD to save a second or two off your boot times and app launches ;)

3. Same with the 4080 you picked—would paying a little extra for a different 4080 make a noticeable difference in performance? Is it worth the extra cash?
For the c.10% premium, you're getting 1-3% extra performance.

4. Do I really need 64GB of RAM? Probably not right now, but I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it later on.
If you need it later on you can add more, but that might be 5 years down the line.

5. I’m good with paying close to £3,500 including tax. I assume when the 9000X3D series drops, the price will be around that. In the meantime, is there anything else I could upgrade for better performance if I’m willing to spend a bit more?
There's nothing other than the the X3D CPU that would affect your gaming performance much more. The next step up is an RTX4090, but they're way too expensive, and we're expecting the next gen RTX50x0 GPUs in January, so if you were planning on upgrading the GPU that soon, you should go for an RTX4070Ti Super)
