Yeah tried that, it doesn't click into place. It will stick slightly and then come away again.

Hey all I've recieved my new vortex ix laptop today, all is well except I have a minor issue with the monitor. It's not a big deal, more of a cosmetic thing really but the bottom of the monitor has come away slightly and has created a gap (see attached pics) and won't press back into place...

Tbh, I've never had it serviced- it never really occurred to me to do so. Thanks, I will look into doing what you suggested as I still want to keep my old defiance for storage and web browsing. But primarily, I still want to upgrade to a new laptop.

Do you know if it gets very hot and if the fan noise is loud?

Looks good, I'm looking at getting this one or the Recoil with a similar spec. My current laptop is a Defiance from 2015 and it got very hot and noisy, so it's good to hear this version is better for that.
