🤣 Alright so the details: Left them all on AUTO mode as the RPMs were being reported, so figured it was working fine already. Stuck them all on 20% where they are still on and doing their jobs but it's low enough that they are barely audible. Incidentally, 20% appears to be where the RPM is...

No you're right and luckily I came to the same conclusion and plugged em into CHA_FAN 2 and 3. Switching on now...

Tis a mystery! To be fair I have taken a fair bit of satisfaction in learning how some of this stuff works. I'll probably have a go at a build myself for the next PC. For now, looks like I have to remove the *expletive* front fans in order to get the cables into the right place... Anyway...

Yeah that was a dead end. But at least I can now configure my 3 additional non-existent RGB fans. My first order of business as resident fan expert is to award myself with medal for participation and tell myself to go bleep myself. Politely.

I have to admit I got put off when, trying to add them manually, the software presented me with selection of RGB fan types to choose from, but maybe I should have selected one of them and seen where it would take me. I'll try one more time.

@Scott Ugh no dice with the corsair hub. They weren't picked up by the wizard and they are going at the exact same speed as far as I can tell. Doing some googling seems to indicate that 3 pin fans can't be controlled by the hub, presumably for the same reason (lack of PWM) I set both CPU fans...

@Scott No effect at all. Fan RPM unchanged after putting in DC mode, reducing to 20% power and saving and exiting and restarting. Back in BIOS again; no change.

Apologies for being a numpty, the AIO pump was on the list in the BIOS reading as N/A so I assumed iCUE was in charge of reporting that. So... the plan to control the case fans through the case hub PWM connection to the mobo via the BIOS didn't pan out. @SpyderTracks, you've suggested...

Ahh, it's the pump... damn I thought that was it for sure. OK so back to what you said about switching the PWM header. Where do you suggest? I thought it was supposed to be in a SYS_FAN like CHA_FAN5, which is where it is now.

Yeah I'm not touching those. I'm saying that the front fans are reported as being CPU fans and are stuck at 2.3krpm. The CPU fans are currently at 579RPM as reported by iCUE

Further info: DC controlled fan speed does not seem to be functional at all. Tried increasing/decreasing the RPM of CHA_FAN5 and CPU_FAN but doesn't have any effect when applied (unless it only takes effect on saving and exiting BIOS?) PWM doesn't work either for obvious reasons. I'm fine with...
