No problem.
Power drawn by the GPU (and to a lesser extent even the CPU) can spike well beyond the rated power demand during high workloads and when they start up. So generally best to build in some margin to reduce risk of the PC turning itself off during those times. Alot of folks have been...
Just to provide some specific feedback on your build to hopefully give a steer on why some of the other suggestions are the way they are.
the non-XD CPUs (like the 7900x you picked) are generally not recommended for gaming type workloads as you get a massive speedup from the additional L3 cache...
Do you have a max budget? A couple of these parts are two generations+ old so this would essentially be a PC with no future upgrade path. Honestly spending something closer to 2k would get you a much longer lasting build with latest parts.
Had a look at configurator, honestly I'm very surprised this case isn't compatible with a higher grade power supply (which is what I and probably others would suggest).
Not sure what your aesthetic preference is but think this case is very pricy if it really can't accept a 1000 ot 1200W power...
I would say I'm shocked I'd need to pay more to get something reliable, but that would seem to be an oxymoron :ROFLMAO:
Got until end of Jan to return this Keychron one - will keep looking but consider these thanks!
This build should arrive in a day or two.
Meanwhile I've been trying out the peripherals and unfortunately the Keychron K4 Pro I got on Black Friday through Amazon has a nonfunctional bluetooth connection. Keychron support so far has stalling a bit & not been very helpful. Debating returning...
Thanks? Can I presume PCS will install Windows on the first 1 TB drive specified here? Or will I have to specify some partitions?
Planning to order this spec today/tomorrow.

Quick question folks, if I get a case that comes with RS120 ARGB fans, will i be able to control the lighting on a build together with an iCue Link Titan 360 RX AIO? If not, then which AIO would you suggest that pairs well with these case fans if I did not want to replace them?
Cheers!
I personally would split the windows install onto its own faster SSD purely for risk management. If a windows update misbehaves for whatever reason, your data being on a separate drive should reduce the risk of losing access to your information.
13th and 14th gen processor architectures are...
Thanks!
I just got off a call with PCS to try get some questions I had off my chest for my build. Thought it would help everyone else if I share the details:
- the configurator currently lists the Gigabyte X870E Auros Elite Board as potentially not being in stock till the 29th. Apparently PCS...
Okay after giving it some thought and seeing a few cases have disappeared, I think I might buy this sooner rather than later. Any suggestions on changes?
Also what does 'KIT' mean here on the ram?
Cheers!

Personally I would go back to the 2 TB and swap the CPU for a 9800x3d instead. Would definitely help in some of the more CPU bound games relative to the 9900x just from the larger cache with the x3d chips. Not sure what cooler you've picked but good options might be H115i CAPELLIX or the new 360...
My concern really draws from the conclusion from 6:32 onwards in this video:
Where it's stated that the US tariffs are going to have a knock on effect on global supply chains so costs are set to increase across the board.
Most of the third party manufacturers for Nvidia (Zotac/Palit etc.)...
Hi again,
It seems like there will be some major tarriffs coming in from the US next year which are likely to affect global PC component prices. So debating whether buying now or waiting for new gen parts to come next year is the best play.
Any thoughts?
Thank you very much for these suggestions and your honest feedback on the budget I initially had in mind. If it means quality then I'd be open to upping the max budget to £150. I wouldn't be comfortable going much beyond that though.
It seems clear I'll have to seriously consider leaving RGB...
Thanks!
Any suggestions for a keyboard & mouse under £100 all together that could go with this build?
My hard requirements:
- drivers and RGB control software (if relevant) must work with both Windows and Linux OS
- full size mechanical keyboard
- mouse should have some programmable buttons...
I just saw now the corsair 3500x case now available in the configurator - half the price of the 5000x. Would this be an option?
