I want to put the machine under my desk and run the cable out from the back of the machine to a mount higher up to get a better signal since the wifi box is upstairs. I can manage but it's not ideal. A proprietary plug like this EZ-plug seems to be causing others online the same trouble.

It's easily done because space is so cheap these days! I figure why not? It's only a little more expensive. Like RAM. I used to manage a Sun workstation back in the early 90's at UCL. We needed more RAM. I bought 8mb and it was something like £500 if I recall correctly.
