Hi all thanks for your help. I've somehow fixed it!
I removed the RAM, graphics card and modem and gave the whole thing a good clean with air duster and a soft natural brush. Plugged it in and it started up!
Then replaced one stick of RAM - still worked. Added the second. Wouldn't start up...
Thanks, I have been booting it from the HDD rather than the SSD since purchase and it's been running fine up til now. I spoke to PCS on the phone last night and they said they'd take it in to repair, but it would take a month and I'd have to pay for transport and any parts. There's no way we can...
The SSD is completely disconnected from the motherboard, so I don't think it's doing much, but thanks for the suggestion.
Update - Actually, I've just managed to completely remove it and it made no difference. Also tried disconnecting the HDD in case that made any difference but it didn't...
