So i moved the pc and plugged it direct to the router using an ethernet cable Ethernet - 385Mbps wifi - 22Mbps

yeah i was thinking that, im not clued up on that side of things so wasnt sure why, dont know why my phone and laptop speeds would be good but pc would be slow,

I didnt have time to move the pc last night (will try that tonight) but i did use my mobile phone as a hotspot, when doing that my mobile phone was getting speeds of around 160mbps and when i set up the hotspot the pc was getting speeds of 160mbps so that looked to work ok.

thanks, it is on 5Ghz just now, i tried the 2.4Ghz and it was even slower, if i use the laptop or my mobile phone at the pc location i get 350mbps so i dont think its a signal issue

yeah i have removed bullguard as i was fed up with the pop ups, to my knowledge windows is up to date, it is a brand new machine
