No it should have worked, it backwards compatible from gen3 to gen2.

I still find it insane that the laptop if there are 2 gen3 nvme connected, performance cannot be degraded to gen2 instead of heavy bsods and crashes. RMA is still going on and my vendor should receive the laptop (next week). I somehow have the feeling this story isn't over, so I'll ask for a...

Clevo issued today the CCC 2.34 so it should propagate quickly to the vendors. Also new drivers for WiFi and BT.

No it should work properly as advertised. My reseller asked clevo for the bios : it seems that current EC version is 1.07.02 and bios 1.07.06 (I was aware of the 1.07.05, which is currently installed in my unit, but not of .06). I'll share the file and see how it fares regarding this issue...

Okay so I freshly received the sx8200 (2tb) and put it in the fastest slot. Windows install failed so the problem is clearly the nh55acq. Will ask for bios update or an rma.
