OK,
Got a reply from PCS, apologising and providing me with the code for my licence. I will delete the negative comments over the weekend, but leave this up long enough to show those who asked for an update
Thanks, this is one of the options I have explored in my complaint to yhem, but the guy on the phone has pretty much said that its not something he can do, so I'm just waiting. Will update as new info becomes available.
So, had a conversation with customer service that ended with "I'm not able to help and my manager is not picking up his phone"
So, in short, I've paid for a product, they screwed it up and I have no recourse. So, as much as people might disagree with my "avoid this company" statement it stands...
Thanks for this. The email basically said that because of the time lapsed since the order was completed, they can't do anything.
But, because of their mistake (I.e. info not included with laptop on registration), the earliest I could have known about this issue was 4 days ago, when I raised it...
I have contacted them, via email, which is how I know they've decided its too late to do anything.
As for their damaged rep, maybe if I didnt have to spend over an hour on the phone waiting to actually talk to someone about it as the emails have gotten me no where, then tough. Maybe they...
On hold now. Have been for about an hour. I'll update as info becomes available
Didnt' realise Bullguard was that bad, BUT, it's also the principle of the fact that I have paid for it and they screwed up and I'm left with a lesser product than I paid for
I ordered bullgyard antivirus with my laptop but they messed up and didn't include the info for registration and because the trial version was already pre installed, I didnt get a notification until 2 or 3 days ago. Which is apparently too late to do anythjng about it.
So, THEY screw up and I...
For future reference, the Ryzen is cheaper because it's a different chassis (saved about £75, which I spent on RAM upgrade). Upgraded the RAM and got two M.2 SSD (1TB each) and only ended up paying £45 after the price difference was applied.
Quite low. I've run Co: Warzone, WoW and Ark: Survival Evolved on epic settings and the laptop gets a little warm with the fans kicking out the heat, but not too high. It gets loud as the fans kick in, but with headphones on, you can't hear it and it stays quite cool by comparison to the machine...
Ordered my Optimus 17.3" and got it within 11 working days. I decided to upgrade some of the components and completely changed the order and they were fantastically helpful.
High build quality, brilliant machine and it is doing to job I wanted perfectly (gaming, mostly). Would highly recommend...
My build is still in pre production, so I can call them
I went for i7 because I read somewhere for gaming that it had a slight edge over the Ryzen.
As for RAM, is the speed difference going to have that big an impact?
