Hi all,
I currently have the following set up:
Ionz KZ10 case
9400f CPU
2x8GB DDR4 2666MHz

120GB SSD
1TB HDD
500W 80+ Cooler Master Power Supply

I’m looking to upgrade to something along the lines of a Ryder 7 2700x and GTX 3060. Would this be a good combination...
That sounds like some very good advice. I’ll at least wait until the PS5 full specs and price or the console itself are released and evaluate again then. Thanks for the advice, it’s really helped me out!
Thanks a bunch for taking time to go through and configure that PC for me. By looking at price comparison even if the ps5 were to retail at £600 or even say like £650, the price difference between PC and playstation is huge. Certainly feels like paying an extra £700 for the ability to mod a game...
Initially I was basing my budget on the PS5 yes but after researching gaming PCs more extensively that is obviously very unrealistic. In terms of price I’m trying to work out, with the new improved graphics and power that the PS5 will have (like RTX tracing), whether it will be worth a PC for...
There’s no official price for the PS5 as it’s being released in November but there’s good speculation that it’ll be in the £450 region so from what I’ve seen there’s no way I’ll get a gaming pc for that. Waiting for the new GPUs in September seems like a good idea.
How would this setup run minecraft with a couple of light mods (maybe shaders) and lighter games like Mount and Blade Bannerlord or Total War games? I’m not looking for crazy FPS just enough that the game is smooth, so maybe 60FPS?

Ah right ok, well thanks. So you’d say I’m going to have to spend about £800 to get a pc anywhere near decent? Just deliberating between a gaming pc and a PS5, so I’m looking for a price match.
How well will this spec run on minecraft with a mod or two and lower demanding games like mount and blade Bannerlord?
