OK no probs, good luck with whatever you go for! Make sure control centre is installed and the NVIDEA drivers are up to date when you get it and I'm sure you'll be fine.
I'm really not sure on temps v fan speed at the mo, I'll take note next time I'm heavily using the CPU and GPU, I just know Game mode is dealing with the temp fine on its own now.
Everything is really good on the Vyper (apart from the minor RGB issue I explained earlier). This is the first...
Hi, I'm not sure if its the same for gaming, but when I've been using the GPU it only really goes to 70-80 deg, controlcenter game mode setting seems to deal with the temp OK. If your GPU temp does go as high as 90+ the manual turbo fan mode setting will reduce the temp sufficiently, its just a...
Hi, so I've been using mine every day for the past 3 weeks training models for machine learning, so quite heavy on the CPU and GPU for hours on end. I just use the 'Game mode' fan setting which means the fans just come on automatically when either the CPU or GPU heat up.
When they do come on for...
Maybe. I'm just really really glad that I never shut the screen when it was in the 90's yesterday, despite reading that was an acceptable temp for the GPU. I reckon I could have easily destroyed the screen with that sort of temp going on.
Despite the GPU issues, the Vyper 17" is a very well...
OK, so after getting no where late last night I shut the laptop down and went to bed.
Then this afternoon I started it up again to to have a go at downloading new Nvidia drivers, the whole thing just worked without doing anything.
The GPU temp varied between 35 deg and 43 deg, and the fans were...
Hi I'd given up for the night before I saw your post. I did sort by section to try to work it out. Control centre was using about 10-12% gpu constantly, and the gpu would bounce between 10% and 50%, but only for a split second at 50%, allocated to 'system' or anything else that was running i.e...
OK uninstalled Bullguard, no real change after re-booting and not running anything other than this forum page on MS Edge, temp has risen to 78 deg and climbing. I think I'll shut the laptop down, it's too dangerous to leave overnight copying files over.
yes tried that, the fans just don't seem to kick in automatically.
Interestingly I closed control centre for 5 mins, then re-opened it and the temp went down to 77 deg (from 86 deg)
I've literally unboxed it this evening, haven't tested games. just installing things and copying files over.
The processor is constant 25 deg, The hard drives are constant 40 deg, and the GPU goes down to 47 deg with the fan boost on then slowly rises to the 90's after about 10 mins.
I'm just...
I'm having the same prob on my Vyper, fans not automatically kicking in when the GPU gets into the 90's. Have to sporadically but fan boost on for a bit. I'm not even using the GPU, the computer is just installing stuff at the mo.
OK thanks, found it, and downloaded control centre. Everything works, including the fan!
It was so hot at first, I was worried it might melt the screen.
Hi, I received the same laptop as Lazbee, and have exactly the same issue. I only have windows 10 installed, no games center or control center.
function + F6 or F7 don't do anything.
Do we need to download some software?
