i also thought 17" would be better for the cooling, when i ordered my nova. That was part of the reason i did not go all out on the CPU. I was hoping the 3600 would be easier to cool an thus a 15" sufficient.
I recently ordered one aswell. I went for the 3600 as well. Im so excited :D
in theory, will one be able to replace the GPU/CPU with a better one in the future? When new CPUs hit the market with more single core power and maybe the next gen of GPUs. Or is this architecture so specific, that new...
Very Cool Thanks!!
One last question, if you dont mind. If i am content with a desktop replacement, is this a good choice or should i still buy an amd 4000 laptop? Just because the new ryzen 4000 CPUs get so good results for so low money
If you say my config is still solid, im very positive...
I see that now, I am still putting some thoughts into it, if a desktop replacement is the right thing for me. I dont see the case where i actually need to game on battery, i guess i just wanted to be able to 😅
Ok I see. thanks for clearing that up.
Now this might actually be what i need. 1 Hour battery life is therefore all i need. The important question is how heavy are they? The chassis is specfied at 2.8kg. How much will be added on top? And do you mind looking over my config, please? I feel like...
i am still a little confused. Lets say I just want to be able to take my PC with me when I go to a friend. I put it on the table there and connect to power. This is where a desktop replacement comes in handy, or not?
Yea i thought so. But this surely is not about having a complete stationary setup either, is it? The advantage of a laptop is that i can take it with me- or why should one buy one instead of a PC? weight and battery matter at least a little bit, right?
I see that you are not from the...
Hello
heres a config I put together (end of Post). Its mainly used for multimedia/gaming. It is supposed to last me around 5 years (maybe 2 years of AAA games) I have several questions about it:
- Did i do something wrong or suboptimal? Did I oversee any bottlenecks (like would it be more wise...
i just read the first reviews for the new amd CPUs. Thanks again, since they are all very positive (so im gonna have to wait a little longer :))
Do you have any kind of estimate, when pcz will start allowing the new amd cpu for configuration? So more like 3 weeks or 3 months?
ok thanks alot so far :)
ive did some research and should be going for the Ryzen 5 4500 or 4600 with 6 cores. I feel like everything above 6 cores is overkill.
should be relatively cheap aswell.
Please tell me if im wrong
It is the ryzen 7 and 9 models, right? Im a little bit confused..
So my plan is to wait until pcspecialist (or someone similiar for that matter) allows to configure wit ryzen 7 or 9.
Edit: Ok i think i figured it out. Ryzen 7 or 9 do not necessarily mean the 4000 series
Ah thanks guys, waiting is probably my best bet then.
How long though? What are your estimates? A quick google search made me think its taking some time, earliest ive seen was october.
Ah oky, thanks. thats a huge argument in favor of the optimus chassis. Now the optimus does not have a mechanical keyboard right? How good is the keyboard though? Are there additional information regarding the optimus X v2? I cannot seem to find updated info on that.
