For me, and I know it's not perfect but, If you want Intel and can't squeeze the budget to go up to 12th gen then look at the 11400f, widely touted as the value to performance king just a few short months ago, and it's cheaper. Try to divert the savings into faster ram and a more powerful PSU...
Point is, there are people out there who are desperate for a card, any card, buy this, use as a placemarker, buy better when either the price drops or they can afford it.
Still not good value though, but what is?
Which is why the 12400f is so good, no e cores. It's odd that so far the value / performance matrix certainly on the 11 and 12 series rests on the 400F. Chinny wonders 🤔
So, a quick question that's no doubt been asked and answered but, local account? Or Windows account? I'm aware ( I think) of the 'benefits' of having a windows account but what do you all think?
Just an observation, one I've made many time. There is no such thing as 'future proof' in computers there is merely forward compatibility. No matter what you get, in six months time something bigger, better and faster will be here. "There's never a good time to buy a computer or a car".
The 11400f has a slightly higher single thread performance and is way cheaper. Unless you really need those extra threads then the 11400f is the better choice.
