    PCSPECIALIST Lockdown - What's Worth a Watch?

Yeah I seen warm bodies, I enjoyed it for a little but but fell away from it. I don't even know if I seen the end. He was great in it though. This is the thing for me, I've seen him in all these roles and he has been fantastic (Other than Nosferatu), I just don't think he's been at the...

    PCSPECIALIST Lockdown - What's Worth a Watch?

Luthor is Nicholas Hoult. I've always rated him as an actor but as you've alluded to, he's not really had his shot. This could definitely be he one though, just his presence in the trailer was enough for me to stamp some authority and menace. I watched Juror #2 the other day, the story is...

    PCSPECIALIST Lockdown - What's Worth a Watch?

Henry Cavil has been the best Superman for me as far as the movie goes. As far as the actor goes it's been Reeve all day long. You bring that guy into this era and he would smash the role yet again, but have the effects to back it all up. I'm curious about what they do with this one. There's...

PCSPECIALIST Recent Windows 11 Update damages audio - Low volumes

Just to rule out anything obvious, can you right click on the speaker down the bottom right of the screen and then click "Volume Mixer". Ensure that they are all at max when playing audio. Where are the speakers you are connected to? Is it through the monitor, or external speakers? Are the...

PCSPECIALIST PC Spec Advice.. £2700 budget

I would look at getting a modern PSU such as the 1200w Shift. Unfortunately there are only a few options. From what is available I would actually have the 750w RM over the 850w RMx as it's better at handling power spikes. 750w isn't enough for normal high power usage but the 850w isn't enough...

PCSPECIALIST A few unexpected things related to order management.

You're definitely in the right place. @steaky360 was just highlighting that the forum isn't a primary source of dialogue with the PCS staff. Admin do pop in and will often check this part of the forum so it's in the right place, the message was simply to highlight that the forum is more often...

PCSPECIALIST Review PC for Cyberpunk and the upcoming Doom Dark Ages?

There are a few reasons. I'll see if I can summarise: The 750w RM offering is ATX3.1 standard, this allows for transient spikes which plague modern GPUs as they can pull double the power draw. Unfortunately, 750w just isn't enough for a 4080 Super and it wouldn't allow for any future upgrades...

PCSPECIALIST Name that Movie - Japanese movie from years ago!

By random chance I seen that Battle Royale 2 was on Sky Movies. I've never seen the second one but I remember seeing the first one and was enthralled by the idea of it all those many moons ago. It reminded me of another movie though, one long forgotten. I don't actually remember all that much...

PCSPECIALIST Review PC for Cyberpunk and the upcoming Doom Dark Ages?

First stab below. £2400 isn't really enough to get you into 4080 Super territory without compromising other areas. The new GPUs are around the corner so you're not getting good value at the moment anyway so better to cut back a little and match the monitor than to over-spend on an already...

PCSPECIALIST Review PC for Cyberpunk and the upcoming Doom Dark Ages?

Above covers the Intel point, they've been out of favour with neutral enthusiasts for years but it's gotten to the point now where even die hard fans are seeing the light. It's a shame as we all want competition for a good market, they've totally dropped the ball though. If you could have a...

    PCSPECIALIST Check spec please.

No worries at all, always the way it goes isn't it :D You can make changes right up until the final inspection, just in case you want to incorporate what I have suggested. It's fine, it would just be a bit better with them in place IMO.

PCSPECIALIST Review PC for Cyberpunk and the upcoming Doom Dark Ages?

I would strongly advise against any Intel system. Not sure how closely you keep in touch with tech etc but I don't think anyone would advise Intel over AMD under any circumstances right now. I probably wouldn't bother with a review spec either. Typically you'll get better bang for your buck if...

    PCSPECIALIST Check spec please.

I would suggest the drives are the wrong way round, I would either opt for P44 500GB primary and P41 2TB secondary, or have them both as P44s if the budget allowed. There's no great benefit from having the secondary as a top of the line drive just yet, but it may come handy with more direct...

    PCSPECIALIST Anyone tried Wubuntu?

Am I not right in thinking that Windows 11 can be, *ahem*, persuaded to install on any non-compatible system with a bit of tweaking? Or did that change? My only fear would be it running like a potato but I think you can turn off the processes that cause that also. With that being said I guess...

    PCSPECIALIST Which CPU with GPU?

He isn't wrong that there's always something around the corner, but every now and then you get a perfect storm. It tends to be when the latest Nvidia cards come out, after that point it tends to be "refreshed" versions, which you can always wait for something new. In Jan/Feb we're going to get...

PCSPECIALIST Looking for Advice on a Long-lasting Build for Cities Skylines 2 & Heavily Modded Cities Skylines

Yeah, it's a good build. I would consider what I said about both the GPU being overkill for your needs and the fact that loads of new tech is out next year which would give you better value and more performance.

PCSPECIALIST Looking for Advice on a Long-lasting Build for Cities Skylines 2 & Heavily Modded Cities Skylines

I wouldn't personally. You'll have 3 fans with the case as standard and 3 fans with the selected AIO. PCS will typically add a rear exhaust fan, I don't know if this is every time or only where the feel it's necessary, regardless it will be more than enough :)

PCSPECIALIST Looking for Advice on a Long-lasting Build for Cities Skylines 2 & Heavily Modded Cities Skylines

You were quite a bit over your £2400 budget in the link above, so I've went under the assumption that the £2650 is closer to your limit. If it's not, feed back and we can pull some costs in. Before considering the below, keep in mind that the next generation of X3D top end chips are due out in...

PCSPECIALIST Looking for Advice on a Long-lasting Build for Cities Skylines 2 & Heavily Modded Cities Skylines

We can certainly help with that. Have a look at the below thread and post back with the main answers regarding budget/monitor etc, be precise with the specs of things to help avoid the back and forth. The model number of the monitor would be especially helpful. Always include the budget as with...
