Yes PC now ordered. But it was from a supplier. Got a fantastic deal. And get it end of June which for a rtx 3090 system is pretty quick atm. PCSpecialist wait time was 3 months and price was more expensive for pretty much the same spec. But they were my preferred supplier just cant wait...
Can anyone please confirm that my gtx 670 dp is 1.2 but my monitor will be dp1.4 meaning I cannot use the monitor on dp to test it when I get it in advance of my new PC? I guess I can use hdmi just to get it working. Graphics card hdmi 1.4 new monitor will be monitor hdmi 2.0
I would like to know what people think of this:
before the new high refresh rate 4k screens people were using 4k 60hz and were I assume perfectly happy playing games including fps on such screens. So if I get a 4k 60hz monitor then it should be ok for games generally (as a stop gap) even if...
gpu also for vr headset.
there are just no 4k high refresh monitors available atm
going to wait for a bit before buying 1440p to see if my options improve
ok I found this:
https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/dell-27-gaming-monitor-s2721dgfa/apd/210-axrq/monitors-monitor-accessories#techspecs_section
I can buy it on amazon for £365 it is Gsync compatible.
Will it do the trick?
Or is there a better 27" 144hz+ for me?
Ok thanks very much for all your help. It is my bedtime soon and so I will signoff for now as I have a few things to do . I may need a bit more help tomrrow after I absorb all your comments again.
my desk is 62cm by 92cm and is a small table rather than a desk. It is up against the wall so I can get past it and so no space for anything to hang off the back of the desk. Looking at your image the screen pushes forward and I would be very close to it with not much space in front of the...
Thanks for your info.
I dont think I can spend the amounts for the two 4k screens (and they are too big) and the G9 looks far too big for my small desk. My current PC is on the floor and I dont think I can go beyond 30" on my desk for a monitor. A desk mount wont fit on my desk and leave...
I use either side of the monitor and my desk is small so the stand may inhibit me using the desk properly and just dont fancy the idea of superwide in my room (also I have vr for big screens). Also I imagine they are expensive. they are probably out of stock as well. But tbh I am ingnorant of...
I dont have the space for superwide.
what about my comment about 4k 60hz or 1440p 144hz as a stop gap? there is no availability of the monitor you proposed so I cant have one.
What budget would get me a 4k with decent refresh rate? And what would you suggest?
What do you think of this:
Because there are no 4k monitors with higher refresh rates available atm am I better off going for either a cheaper 4k 60hz screen or a chaeper 1440P high refresh rate monitor (and putting up with my experience not being as good as it could be) and then investing in a...
Thank you very much for your help and support. I am now looking at 4k freesync monitors which to my relief are currently available as compared to gsync 4k monitors. Is this right based on what you said about pairing?
And just to be sure what should I watch out for to pair my 3090 with a monitor?
are you absolutely sure about this as it means I can get a 4k freesync monitor to run my rtx 3090? But if I buy one and it doesnt work properly then I will be devastated.
Also what is adaptive sync?
Gaming really but also a bit of photo editing and possibly video editing as well as watching films. I also have a good VR system which the 3090 should run very well.
