Hey everyone - please can you offer any advice on recommend spec for a desktop rig that will be used for stock trading.
Main requirements are;
- the ability to run stock price feed software, on multiple stock exchanges in parallel - effectively this involves streaming real-time price data...
very useful. i'm looking at a 5800x or 5900x so cooling sounds important, any recomendations on cases? to maximise my options I'm comfortable buying a case from another vendor and sending it to PCS for the build
Thanks, I didn't appreciate the fans can run slower on an airflow case. Do you think the airflow Vs closed front case actually has a material impact on performance - i.e. do components get hot enough on a decent closed case to trigger performance throttling?
Looks a great setup.
How do you find the cooling and noise levels on that case? I'm considering case options for a new build and liked the idea of a more open front for cooling and to show off RGB front fans - but was not sure about noise levels
thanks, very useful.
i had not spotted the rtx 2060 was only 30 more, looks a good upgrade. i agree given it is office based / non high end gpu trimming the wifi and psu to 750w makes sense.
the machine i have now suffers from heat / throttling, so i'm very conscious of getting the right...
thanks, i appreciate you advice.
What are your thoughts regarding a recommended case, and if I would need to consider addition case cooling fans. I thought that the best option would be to look elsewhere for a case and send it to PCS for the build, but have no idea on which case to go for?
Hey everyone - I would appreciate you advice on a new build where the main requirements are;
Primary use is software development
Using virtual machines - so memory intensive (the 16gb machine i use now is maxed out on ram)
Programming is reasonably cpu intensive, and very intensive in spikes...
