PCSPECIALIST Pc switching off (after an hour gaming period.)

To my knowledge, the issue hasn't been present. I did have a problem a long time ago that was resolved by lowering the overclock on the RAM. No issues have been present for around 8 months or so after I made the changes, seems to have surfaced under no obvious cause EDIT: After viewing an...

I am very persistent with fixing things, especially my pc. I like to learn more where I can I have been running the same hardware for around 10 months. The main games I play now are the same as then. I did some research into BIOS updating back when the machine arrived, I would certainly need to...

Just as an overall update to this situation - nothing I have thought of or been advised to do, has worked. The problem - My PC randomly turns off and automatically attempts to reboot, sometimes failing up to three times (before I manually switch it off) Here is a list of things that I have...

PCSPECIALIST Pc switching off (after an hour gaming period.)

I have disabled the hid compliant headset driver and my pc still has issues. I have installed the GPU drivers, but left the other to windows. PCIe power is indeed plugged in to the GPU Furmark did not cause a system shut down, the same as the other test also did not cause a shut down. Both...

No, just those three things. Exception of course for monitor cable and aux cable for sound. My headset is a kraken which, seeing the post, it does seem too much of a coincidence, but then I'd imagine with the removal of the driver and device it certainly shouldn't be an issue. It does not have...

Not to be rude, but shouldn't a full memory wipe and reinstall of windows confirm it's not the issue?

I got my gpu drivers using the Nvidea experience app, I know it's not that because my replacement GPU hasn't worked either on different drivers. I spent all day today replacing all of the power cables from the components/board to the PSU. The result is the same

Hello everyone, thank you all for your suggestions and input. I have now tested the system with a spare, untouched 4GB RAM card and with a clean install of windows 10. PCSPECIALIST Pc switching off (after an hour gaming period.)

I've been using both HW Monitor and Hwinfo for temp checks Edit: I've added pictures of my normal temperatures, no stress. There are two questionable temperatures, but I believe they are false readings. Even if not, I'm unsure of their purpose or location on the board.

Okay so, in response to both of your posts, I have taken out the headset from the USB slot and uninstalled the " HID-compliant headset" drivers. Following this, the system has turned off once again. I'm still uncertain on what information are in event logs, however, decided to put some faith in...

Okay so after installing the new GPU, closing the case and running a game for 20 minutes, the problem has still occurred. Again, pc has turned off and attempted rebooting a few times before I turned it off fully myself. As I said before Memtest 86 was clear of errors during it's testing for the...

I've just completed the memtest, 3 hours is a lengthy time. I used memtest 86 for that. It's come back with no errors from four runs of the test with the two ram sticks inserted. I also downloaded AIDA 64 and run stress tests on CPU,GPU and stogage for fifteen minutes, no crash. Perhaps it's a...

Thank you Scott, I will look into this, it is some very helpful insight. I am more than happy to give this a try in order to attempt to pinpoint the issue. In relation to your question, I described it as a 'power off' because the system seemed to lose all power and reboot from the beginning...

Not to sound argumentative or stubborn, I believe, through research, GPUs do use thermal paste as I have cleaned it off myself and reapplied following tutorials and doing some reading. Perhaps thermal pads are an alternative or there is some sort of misunderstanding. As mentioned above, temps...
