Just to double check, I got my laptop with 3 year silver warranty around a year ago, and I'm pretty sure it's high time to clean the fan intakes out, and have arrangements to have a professional do it. Just do double check, would opening it up to do that affect the warranty, assuming that...
I'm planning to take my new Vortex IV to university with me, and naturally want some protection against theft. My model has a kensington lock slot, however as I'm completely unfamiliar with these locks I thought I'd ask for some advice. When looking for kensington locks I find products varying...

Firstly, I notice that it only appears in some of the attached images, and not others. Is it specific customisation option or are the pictures without it of a different model of laptop?
Secondly, what is it...
I notice that on most laptops I've seen here (though if it matters, the one in question is the 15.6" Vortex IV) dead pixel cover is separate option to the warranty. My question is does the warranty cover dead pixels in any way or will that only be covered by a dead pixel guarantee?
