dism command was clean, sfc found a few issues which were corrected.
I reinstalled KB5005033 and sure enough the temps started to rise again. Small spikes in CPU usage raises the temps and then the fans kick in and it falls, no great issue with that, from what I gather temps of 90C for this CPU...
After researching a bit more (as far as I could as there is little information on the web about this), I've found a few other people with the same issue on various sites. Seems to be down to KB5005033, but why I don't know.
Any suggestions from anyone? I don't really like the idea of not...
Hi,
I've had my laptop for about 9 months now and after a few initial issues everything has been good.
A few months ago (maybe around April) I noticed that my CPU wasn't getting as hot anymore and the fans weren't coming on as much. I didn't notice any performance drop, however I have only...
I had another freezing error as mentioned in my last post the other day.
I've contacted PCS the day after asking what to do and they suggested a reinstall of Windows, which I did, but it obviously didn't help.
I've therefore had to start an RMA process
I just had another type of error, no BSOD this time, just the screen freezing and the laptop restarting after about 10/15 seconds.
Could anyone have a look at this and let me know what the issue is and maybe suggest what I should do? Maybe start and RMA?
Here is the mini dump file...
Thanks very for all of you help so far @SpyderTracks @ubuysa
@SpyderTracks Yes, all windows updates have been done, I checked several times yesterday.
I have a few follow up questions if you don't mind answering:
- Where can I find the type of chipset that I have so I can see if there are any...
I've done as you suggested, however I'm not sure what information you wanted from the device manager, so I assumed it would be the GPU details. If you want any more information, please let me know and thank you very much for helping me out with this issue!
I *think* this is the correct link for the dump files. I added them to OneDrive (which I haven't used before tbh!)

Hi,
I've had my new laptop for about a week now and I have twice got this BSOD (both times while playing Factorio). I've updated my NVidia drivers (457.09) after the first instance of the BSOD, but it has just happened again.
Optimus Series: 15.6" Matte Full HD 120Hz 45% NTSC LED Widescreen...
Thanks, NVidia Control Panel says 442.80 too. I try the later drivers.
One other thing I've noticed after playing around is that the CPU seems to get 'very' hot from what I was expecting. I tried playing Anno 1800 on and off for the past hour varying several settings:
Gaming Centre: Gaming mode...
Well I tried to figure out which driver to use and I have quite a bit of conflicting information.
According to windows device manager I have is 26.21.14.4280 with a date of 23/03/2020.
According to GeForce Experience (which I installed) I have the latest version of 442.80 with a date of...
Hi,
I received my new Optimus Pro on Friday and most things seem to be fine. All I've really done is the basics and install Steam, played Factorio and ran 3DMark.
A few issues have crept up which hopefully someone can answer.
1. The keyboard back-light only would work in colourful mode until I...
After several weeks of trying to decide which laptop to get I finally put my order in this evening!
I know I will have to wait for the CPU/Chassis to come back into stock so I don't know when I'll get it, but hopefully in just a little over the month, fingers crossed!
Chassis & Display
Optimus...
Thanks for all that information, very useful and has answered most of my questions.
I think I just need to decide if it is worth waiting for the RTX 2060 with Ryzen 7 combination as I've noticed that I could get the Optimus Pro spec I quoted above, but with the 10875H for a little extra money...
Hi,
I wrote a post a few weeks ago with a pile of questions to help me decide what I wanted/needed in my upcoming laptop order. Now after some more research, availability of parts and other real life occurrences, I have a few more questions if people wouldn't mind giving their opinion/answer it...
Thanks for the information guys, just a few more follow up questions/information if you don't mind:
As for the display, I'm not too bothered, I've not seen a display that I would consider bad for years on anything but <£500 laptops. Probably speaks more about the quality of my eyesight than...
