Thanks @Tron1982
PCS did get back to me and state that the Recoil was more powerful but the Ionico was not as bulky
Your configuration looks great, just £583 over my realistic budget, but I will use it as a starting point. Perhaps start with cheaper SSD as most of my stuff is saved to cloud...
Just quickly put this one together based on the spec pcs gave me. That's £700 more than their original build. Is this going to make a difference for photography?
Chassis & Display
Recoil Series: 16" Matte QHD 240Hz sRGB 100% LED Widescreen (2560x1600)
Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™ i9 24 Core...
No problem.
Most of my photography buddies are running M1 / M2 MacBook but a couple run these gaming laptops, so I'm just trying to make the best decision
Appreciate the response.
I'm trying to stick to around £2k total. So I could play around with the configuration and see what I can get for that.
Also, the primary purpose of the system will be photo and video editing with light gaming (I imagine) so not sure I'd see the benefit of the other...
This is the spec I was sent.
I've added a doc and cooling stand.
Laptop will primarily be used plugged into the mains and used for video and photo editing. I may also play some games on it, but mainly game on my Xbox series X.
External monitor is to enable a larger screen for photography...
Hi folks, I am new here and considering ordering a laptop from PC.Specialists as they have come highly recommended. Trouble is I know absolutely nothing about this sort of thing so I am stuck in my decision making process.
I am considering either of the above for mainly photo and video editing...
