Sure, people can also not change any of the RGB settings or change a wallpaper. But if they want to do it why shouldn't they?
Nothing in my machine is a "pc specialist only" part so why do i need the logo.. my warranty is voided anyway as i changed the case so if the system has no warranty and...
Same way asus will allow you to update bios via its own tools. It loads it up and does a restart which then puts you in the firmware screen to update the bios ez flash is what its called IIRC
Yeah bios.. basic input output system
A bios firmware is still firmware as you said its a update on a hardware component level independent from the os.
If they pushed it on laptops they can push it on desktops. Again its improbable but doable
Laptops: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1035492/
No but firmware is firmware.. if they can push a firmware update for another board conponent its not far reached that it could be done for the bios (and some have done it)
You also assume its not a bios as i assume it is 😄
So impossible... no.. improbable.. yes
I know. But i can understand where the confusion may come from. If you own both a laptop and a desktop there is a chance you see this firmware update on a windows update screen

Its not uncommon. And can be done
I dont agree with point 2, some bios updates tend to give you the "highlights" not all the fixes.
And most board makers will also deny you warranty if you dont keep up with it ironically enough
In this case it contains fixes for the USB issues that plague most ryzen series
Bear in mind. Smart...
B550f motherboard.
So seems pretty relevant, ill ask them anyway cause i am missing my m.2 pack for my motherboard which is a bit of a pain as i had to salvage them from a different build
Never flashing your bios in a time of security issues on both amd and intel and both releasing new bios with more features also defies common sense.
If the splashscreen gets removed on my next update cycle. Happy days and a added bonus
Grand. Based on the reactions i can assume a flashed bios sorts out my asked qeustion
And no i am not some novice.. i have been building my own machines for years. Sadly due to brexit the cheapest way to upgrade my machine was going with a prebuilt. As irish vendors are about 30% more expensive...
What about manufactory warranty? I already transplanted the new mobo and cpu and ram into my own case with my own storage and psu so i highly doubt its in warranty anyway
I bought a system with 16 gigs of 3600 mhz vengeance pro and i want to add 2 more sticks (4x8) however the part number on the ram in the case is not something that gives me a lot of results.
I assume i can buy and add these as is...
You gave me a warning for following the advice i was given. Then once i followed that advice i got a promise made to me and that was broken. And i get a warning for letting other people know my experience based on the feedback given?
