One thing worth keeping in mind is the interplay between thermals and noise. A lot of "quiet" cases can tend to choke the thermal performance of a system - so the fans have to work harder to compensate, running louder and driving the noise level back up - to the point where an "airflow" case...
G-Sync is NVidia's proprietary tech while Freesync is based on open source, so G-Sync carries a premium (imposed by NVidia) over Freesync. For a while the two were completely separate - GSync would only work on NVidia cards, and NVidia cards wouldn't support Freesync. It's started easing up in...
Picking up on the above - there are a few things which look like they could be optimised / improved (e.g. you've got an old model motherboard in), but without knowing your budget and use case it's hard to say.
Yeap I'm sure it'll be fine, it's more that it could be better for the same (or less) money - e.g. if you're using it for gaming, the CPU is overkill, especially compared to the GPU you've gone for - and there are various other reasons why AMD are currently preferred over Intel There's also a...
Depending on where you are in the build / order process there might be scope to cancel or modify various parts if you did want to, although I understand if you've gone for finance then extra credit checks etc. could be a problem if it needs a full cancel and re-order.
As a rule you can...
There's a few things here that could be improved - can you give us some extra information to work with? In particular:
What's your budget?
What do you want to do with it (just gaming, gaming and streaming, what kind of games etc.?)
Do you have a monitor or will you be buying one? And how does...
For the case, there's always the option of ordering your own in for PCS to build into - the FractalDesign Focus G gets good press for about £50. It's not a huge saving, but every little helps!
I don't know too much about mining, but I've got a bit of an interest, so a couple of thoughts on that front:
The 6800XT (and other AMD GPUs) are poor for mining compared to similarly priced RTX cards - the RTX cards have something like a 40% higher hash rate I believe. If you want to mine...
Good points from Stephen. On top of that, few thoughts:
I'd swap the PSU for an 850W RMx. The RMx are a higher quality product, and the 850W variant is near enough the same price as the 750W variant I believe. There have also been issues with the TMx PSUs in the past, although they should have...
What are you planning on using it for, and what sort of monitor are you using? Assuming you're using for gaming there's a few bits that could be optimised
A few thoughts:
Why the 3600? It's been replaced by the 5600 now. Is it down to cost? The 3600 will be fine for gaming for a while, so at your budget that would make sense.
You don't need the Strix board - the TUF Gaming or even Prime B550 boards would be fine.
8GB of RAM isn't enough - you...
