Just the boot options already showing.
I’ve tried reseating it to no avail. Thinking once the replacement turns up I’ll use the packaging from that to take the old M2 to try in a friend‘s computer. I don’t expect it to show, but not sure there’s anything to lose in trying.
Thanks - The M2 was my guess, so I’ve ordered a replacement via the upgrade options PCS has which should arrive later today.
I’m sufficiently inexperienced in this to not know what I should be looking at with the advanced settings.
Other than time I don’t think I’ve lost anything too important...
Tried the Windows 10 Installer USB. Went to Repair > Troubleshoot > Start Up Repair. Got the circular PCSpecialist logo and Diagnosing your PC, followed by;
Start-up Repair couldn’t repair your PC
Press "Advanced options" to try other options to repair your PC, or "Shut down" to turn off your...
I’ve just edited the power supply entry here because the 850W was out of stock at the time, so went with the Corsair 750W RMx series modular 80 plus Gold Ultra Quiet as opposed to the CORSAIR 850W RMx SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET that was still listed on my details.
Hello,
I am once again coming to you for help after such fantastic help with a new PC Specialist machine almost two years ago. (In this thread; https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/new-computer-no-monitor-signal.75223/ )
I (yesterday evening now) clicked on the system notification...
This seems very much to’ve worked (albeit without such extensive effort), so I will try to find some bubbly to break out and raise a glass to you all!
Have borrowed an old HDMI HD resolution 27“ monitor before anything more powerful turns up, and the beeps still sound with it turned on. So I...
Tried drivers. This looks like it’s working, right? But still the "no vga detected" beeps at start up.
I feel like maybe I can relax? Maybe? But still so wary...
Okay... NOW I’m confused! I tried the pushing in through the hole. Didn’t feel like it gave much, if any. Looks slightly better. Tried starting up. Card fans spin. Desktop home is on the Wacom screen now (plugged into the GC HDMI port), but still the "no vga detected" beeps.
I try for drivers...
Realised I could get a view from a different angle by looking through the unused cable access in the top of the shroud. (That is the shroud, yes? I’m not getting my terms mixed up I hope)
Yeah. I may change my mind in the morning, but I’d surprise myself if I did. Currently thinking option 3; the difference between up to a month (and given how busy they are, I’d guess the longer end), and up to a month and three days will be relatively insignificant compared to it (potentially)...
This side of a good night’s sleep, I’m not nearly adventurous enough. And I’m pretty sure after a good night’s sleep I’ll remember my limitations more clearly and also be not nearly adventurous enough. I’m fully prepared to try taking more photos in daylight with a better camera with better...
The fans judder right when the pc is turned on. But only a judder once. They never start spinning.
