Thanks @sck451 - Some good ideas, I showed my friend what spec I bought and then just tried to down spec it a bit.
I like the options you have put, I'd also like to keep him away from AMD GPU's, from my own experience just so many driver issues so will stay on the Nvidia 4080 if that's what you...
Thing is, he doesn't know what he wants. So he is just asking me to give him a decent build, I trust your guys input.
I can ask him questions easy if needs be, but think I could answer any you might have.
Hey guys,
I've convinced a co-worker to look at getting a PC from PCS, so just wanted to run a spec past you guys to see if there's anything glaringly obvious that needs to be changed. He does have other SSD/HDD to throw in for extra storage.
Needs: He is a fairly casual gamer but wants to run...
You can turn the reminder thingy off in the settings, mine automatically does the pixel refresh after I shut down the PC and then after the refresh it goes into sleep until the next day.
A friend sent me this article today, showing some burnout on the AMD 7000 series and X3D series CPU and motherboards.

New BIOs are being released to limit to 1.3V - worth doing the...
My PC has recently been on 3 trips with DPD and all seems fine, no external damage to the box so I've no issues with them.
In regards to them taking pictures and uploading them, that's kind of irrelevant, just assume it's in perfect condition when it's dispatched. If there's any damage to the...
I did give a slight push onto the LCD and it felt like it reconnected or something clicked, it does feel loose when wiggling it (I'm not too sure what it looks like under that screen as I've never removed one). I just assumed it was software related at this point not hardware.
Thanks for this @SpyderTracks, I followed this guide last night too but still nothing changed. I thought it would be an iCUE software thing, but when running iCUE it doesn't find the pump. Unless it's a BIOS setting somewhere? Because it showed temps when I was in BIOS at first, then after a...
Okay got mine back today and it's working correctly this time :)
Only issue I have is the pump LCD is not showing anything (but it's working!) - I can't find it in iCUE either, what am i missing?
I did have to reset the cmos battery, i think that's when it stopped working.
It changes constantly, if people ahead of you change their mind it may take/free up the stock. They probably freed up a case for you, so you were able to take the last one available.
If it's in testing then you should be good :)
