Looked in BIOS but advanced only shows a limited amount of options;
SATA mode
Power on boot beep
Battery low alarm beep
Have they locked other options? Looks pretty basic to me 🤷♂️
Thanks
Wow what a great discussion and a lot of information to take in. I asked this question on here as a bit of a punt, but the knowledge you people have is amazing. I don't think anyone meant to come across as salty, I'm just grateful for the input. My level of understanding has greatly improved...
Interesting response, I think the thought is that laptops have moved on and there is more control, but this was as explained in the example video posted, for an old game so I suspect the quality would be acceptable for the gains. With newer games maybe not, but thanks for the input 😁
Choosing the
manage 3D Settings/ "Global Settings" doesn't allow me to do anything different, I have been on 2 different laptops and the same results.

Ok,
I know by reading on other forums that because the intel GPU is integrated, the Nvidia GPU is only used for heavier processing, like games, photoshop, cad apps.... I'm trying to trick the laptop into custom changing the display resolution so I see more on the screen, This is possible with...
I have a PC Specialist Laptop it has an integrated Intel(R) HD graphics GPU and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M GPU. The issues is i want to change the resolution through the Nvidia settings but because there is an integrated Intel GPU it has disabled access. Could anyone please help.
Note: I have...
I needed a laptop for university and having looked at the usual suspects (mac) and finding how ridiculously expensive they were, decided to take my dad's advice (3) checked out the pc specialist site.
The laptops and reviews were really good.
I needed a fast laptop, with extra customisation...
