Right - back to the topic - where are we with DDR5 RAM? On launch the high latency of DDR5 compared to DDR4 meant that the advertised higher speeds were moot in many cases - so DDR5 was really just picking up where DDR4 left of, rather than it being an amazing new thing.
Where does it live now?
That reminds me of two other words I get mixed up a lot - Heimlich and Valsalva. I one had a friend choking on his sandwich and I told him to hold his nose and blow. 🤔
I'm not a hot sauce fan at all strangely. I don't see the point really. Flavour is one thing but why the pain? I could have cornflakes in the morning while sitting on a handful of thumbtacks and have a similar experience surely?

Interesting reading up on Zen 5 - down to 3-4nm now which is bonkers. They’re getting down towards single digit multiples of the width of a single atom. Incredible really…..
So, given my long and uninvolved absence, I shall set a challenge to you all! Help me get a little caught up with all I've missed!
When I was last active it was all about AMD processors in their AM4 socket and Intel were really just handy CPU's to get your house fire started. Mind you we would...
