For anyone interested, using a usb header on the commander pro now means the monitor does indeed power off with system off, without having to play around with bios power settings (useful for charging peripherals in an off state).
If anyone has any tips on being able to get the monitor to successfully power off with the PC, rather than remain on and show 'no signal' - please sure! Toggling ERP power status in my Asus Crosshair VIII Hero Bios achieves this, but then all of the motherboard RGB, Start and other lights are...
Warranty not withstanding, I've taken a Dremel to my Corsair Obsidian 500d SE case - gulp! The port to run cables through for a VR headset was just a little too narrow to squeeze through the HDMI cable with connector for the screen. A little bit of cutting and grinding later it's all looking...
It's a nice and low cost mod I think, I don't have the time to create a panel from scratch, but I'm super keen to see how you guys mount your screens, that's the part I'm stuck on! :D
Absolutely, configuring the display and having the SensorPanel display is childs play, it is only a bare LCD screen.
The difficult part is neat mounting, which I'm yet to figure out. I'm not at a stage where I fancy taking a Dremel to my fairly new build! Double sided tape would work, but I...

So... I watched the Jayz 2 Cents video, and thought for £60 what could possibly go wrong?
This needs a 7 inch LCD enclosure 3d printing, or I need to find a smart way of mounting, and concealing the wires, but as a POC at this stage it's kind of cool, even if the brightness is impaired somewhat...
That's good advice thanks, my Prime membership has paid for itself already this year! I'll have a look around and compare prices too. Pathetic isn't it - one stuck pixel, but once you've spotted it...
Evening all,
I'm a bit of advice, if I may. I'm now on my 4th Alienware AW3821DW monitor, with the latest one just unboxed to find another stuck pixel. These monitors are £1260 (ish) a time, and I'm at a point now where I really am thinking of giving up on finding an imperfection free version...
