It's genuinely mad what dust can do to a system, it must have been gumming up the fan motor or catching the fans on the housing due to the low clearance, ticking of a dream now. Thanks for the help Martin!
Oh I should specify that the problem was definitely there before I tried going at it with compressed air, it was one of the reasons I broke it out in the first place
I did try to give it a dust out not too long ago, the results were mixed with the compressed air that I used, a WD40 brand can. Do you think that could be causing the issue? Seems strange that it would only be on one side of the GPU but I can give it a go?
Over the past couple of weeks I've noticed a squeaking sound coming from my PC. It didn't affect performance so I didn't really think much of it, but today I decided to have a little internal investigation. I've found that the problem is the right fan on my 2060, which squeaks when it spins up...
Current budget constraints, it isn't ideal but it is what it is. Where the RAM is concerned I currently just need something to get me by until I get paid.
Thanks for the advice on the Coolermaster!
Thanks for the advise!
The RAM is currently a half measure, I'll be replacing it in a couple of months with some faster sticks.
I had thought I had clicked on a better PSU, this has now been rectified (a shame it'll knock the build time back a little but oh well)
I was under the impression...
Oh I dont intend to make any changes from the spec unless something is glaringly incompatible, we're on day 2 of an expedited build so it's a little late.
The only thing nagging me is if the cooling systems are going to be strong enough.
Unfortunately I'm a bit of an intel diehard, so while I know AMD is technically the better choice its never gonna happen :D
This build already maxes out my budget for both PC and Monitor, and itll be used as my primary workhorse for video editing once every 2 weeks (I make Fortnite update...
I've been using PCS gaming laptops for as long as I can remember, but now I've moved out of my parents house I finally have the space to build a proper desktop rig!
This is what I've gone with, is it gonna see me through or have I made any glaring mistakes?
