My 70yr-old dad's ageing PC just packed in (power supply kaput after 15 years, so it's had a good life). So looking to replace it with something to suit his basic needs. He just needs it for general productivity, office based stuff, email, internet, music, video, managing his calibre e-book...
I switched to the 3070 yesterday. Mainly for DLSS, which is currently lacking in AMD cards (just now) - so ponying up was the only option

I think it's now become a loss-maker for them. They are probably having to buy it in at a much higher price than it was previously. And because they have to honour the cheaper price that we bought it at, they will lose money. Or they persuade us to switch ...
Again ... that isn't the issue. I'm not talking about getting dates of stock. Just when they say "3070s are in the same boat as 3060tis. Stock issues are just as bad. No point in swapping". Then each day for the next week, people on this forum are telling us that they swapped to 3070 and gone...

LOL - now you know why I spent a whole day watching Gamers Nexus videos. I just couldn't decide. Yes - the Lancool II came into the equation, but I can't remember why I opted for the Meshify C, in the end. I think it may have been because the GN review showed thermals weren't that great in...
Yeah, thanks Junior - I had changed to the Meshify C yesterday, but then today I noticed that was no longer being sold, so I got in touch via the chat, and they confirmed that was also now out of stock.
I spent most of the last few days checking out the reviews from Gamers Nexus (aka Tech...
I have to change my case for a second time, due to my previous choices being out of stock. So I am opting for the Corsair 5000D. The only snag is that it comes with only two fans - one front and one rear. I'd like to add more fans to the front, but I can't see the way to specify that.
The...
