Thanks for the reply. The gentleman bought 1 year standard, so parts would have been 1 year so I'm pretty sure that has now lapsed. Don't know if the above serial can be checked by a pc specialist employee. Might be worth giving them a ring.

Its been years since I bought a laptop from PCS and I'm eyeing up a 2nd one. Its just over a yeah old and wondered if I can extend its warranty to 3 years platinum once transfer of ownership has been carried out.

I am thinking about buying a SSD for my laptop and was wondering how easy it is to swap. Can I just move my HDD to other bay, install my SSD inot the first bay, copy all my files across to the SSD and then format my HDD?
WIll i need cables etc?

I have just ordered myself a Vortex II 17" with a 750GB WD SCORPIO BLACK WD7500BPKT, SATA 3 Gb/s, 16MB CACHE (7200 rpm) HDD.
My question is at a later date will I just be able to buy a SSD (I presume there all the same size, physically I mean) and slot it straight into the 2nd HDD space...
Just order this for my birthday in the next couple of weeks. I also am very happy that I got it VAT & Del free :)
