I did contact customer support and it seems that the Octane 4K panel is IPS, but not the 1080p pane;, which is a shame.

Apologies for being a bit late to the discussion, but it is unclear if the 1080p panel is IPS or not. Does anyone have this info? I am very interested in this beast of a laptop.
