PCSPECIALIST 3080 problems (and terrible Minecraft fps)

Yeah thanks for the help, I'll do this tomorrow in hopes it'll fix something I'm also waiting for Scan to call me regarding the 3080 in case it's just a faulty GPU

Been avoiding this but I will try

PCSPECIALIST 3080 problems (and terrible Minecraft fps)

Connected via two 6 and 2 pin connectors via an RMx Corsair 850w PSU. Originally, I was using the Acer Predator x27 but I switched to a 1440p LG monitor because I preferred the higher FPS. I think both monitors are fairly new, the motherboard beeps at me regardless of whether I start it with...

PCSPECIALIST 3080 problems (and terrible Minecraft fps)

Good idea, I just ran Timespy and these were the results: The score seems to be really good but it couldn't identify any details about my system?

PCSPECIALIST 3080 problems (and terrible Minecraft fps)

I added a Gigabyte 3080 OC to my PCSpecialist build on Saturday and have been running into a few problems: Asus motherboard (Crosshair VIII Hero) indicates on start-up that the graphics card is faulty; Minecraft Java FPS is abysmal. Usually between 100-300fps, but sometimes even dropping below...

PCSPECIALIST NVidia 3000 series confirmed details

Yes I understand that. My point is even if they have a confirmed shipment, it isn't enough to cover orders for at least 4 weeks. Therefore it is misleading to display it as being in stock and ready to ship, and instead "This item is in stock but there are more orders for this item than our...

PCSPECIALIST NVidia 3000 series confirmed details

Having just re-read the upgrade service terms and conditions, it's very clear that a green stock level indicates they have the item in stock and are able to ship it. They mention that they can't be held responsible for errors in this regard, and I must assume it was an error. They also say...

PCSPECIALIST NVidia 3000 series confirmed details

I must not be making myself clear. I am fully aware of what the JIT system is, why companies use it, and how it's not their fault if the supplier lets them down. This is usually used by companies that build things, like computers or cars. However, my order was not for a custom PC, it was for a...

PCSPECIALIST NVidia 3000 series confirmed details

I did not order a build. I ordered a single component. As a customer I expect my order to be handled with the same transparency as someone who has ordered an entire system. This practice is unacceptable for someone ordering a product that only needs to be picked and shipped. Furthermore, it...

PCSPECIALIST NVidia 3000 series confirmed details

As expected, support came back to say there was no stock of my card and it'll take several weeks before it's likely to reach my position in the pre-order queue. The in-stock label on the website and advice from the representative was misleading and has wasted my time and money. Cancelled with...

PCSPECIALIST NVidia 3000 series confirmed details

Delighted if this is true, because it means I might actually get my order in the near future, and is good news for anyone else ordering the card.

PCSPECIALIST NVidia 3000 series confirmed details

Despite being told it was in stock and ready ship, PCS failed to dispatch my 3090 this week. They have also yet to reply to my email from over 2 days ago requesting a status update, but I imagine when they eventually get around to it I'll be told the stock levels were not as advertised. At the...

PCSPECIALIST NVidia 3000 series confirmed details

The PSU comes with the power cables, not the GPU. If you bought a PC from PCS, they put the additional cables in the welcome box.

PCSPECIALIST How do I turn off the light that keeps flashing on the motherboard after the pc is turned off?

True, though I know the lights can be annoying to some people, especially if they're flickering at night when you're trying to sleep. So I think you can turn them off in the bios, at least on most motherboards.
